Interesting stories from everyone!

The worst part is that in the last 3 months, I spent over $1000 on the car for registration, 2 tyres, servicing and a new windscreen. Redbook tells me the car is only worth < $2500.

Had to ride the pushie to the station this morning. Glad it's not the middle of winter!

Good luck Mike hope it is found not damaged. I had a P plater on her phone (i think) drive into at 50 km/hr. Insurer did me over (market value) then would have sued the other insurance company and then scraped the car. I am sure they made a handsome profit.

I've contemplated installing a hidden GPS chip to track my car if it ever gets stolen. I know in the US you can even remotely lock and stop the car once it is stolen by a mobile phone or the police can when they are following it (my sister was going to have the system installed)

Good luck
