I'm originally from NSW, and thats where I used to drink it. But it was back in the 70's, not the 90's.
Got wierd looks when I asked for it down here in Victoria.
"50 what?"

John.
Have been meaning to try Beez Neez for ages.
Did something about it tonight.
Am just savouring my first few sips, and it's really quite good.
I like the very distinct honey aftertaste.

I tend to find that Cascade tastes like a garden centre smells and Boags a little bit smoother and less "garden-centre" like but still a little taste of it...maybe its cos of the malty taste of OLD im used to....VB is good but its nasty! In a good way of course!
Crown is smooth, i can drink them all night.....
Is Beez Neez similar to Boags or is it like a "New" or a XXXX Gold??

I used to do home brewing for 20 years, had 2 bottles a day, and 3 on a hot day .
Now, I have cirrhosis of the liver and cannot even stand the smell of beer....

Not much of a drinker these days but I have to add a vote for the amazing range of great New Zealand beers. Monteiths, Macs, Tui even a Lion Red if the company is right! They also have a thriving micro brewery industry which produces some great brews.
Monteiths was available from Safeway a while ago but not sure if that's still the case.
Monteiths Celtic Red remains my favourite but they have about 7 different ones to choose from.
I don't know why Aussies have the reputation as drinkers because those Kiwis can sure hit it hard!!

Being born a "Septic" I must avoid too much real Aussie beer...otherwise I tend to behave in extremely strange ways.
HOWEVER, on occasion, I don't mind a touch of "chateau de Lynchburg" (aka Jack Daniels).

Lean towards the dark side here, Guinness, Tooheys Old, Carlton Black. Used to brew some Coopers Stout a few years back. Back in Scotland it was draught Guinness or Fowlers "Wee Heavy" (about 8%, not to be taken in great quantity ), but on a cold night there's nothing to beat a dram of straight malt

I enjoy my own home made beer. Better than any commercial beer I have tried. I can make any style from light Euro lagers to English ales to Irish stouts and ambers. No preservatives, clarifiers, stabilisers or any other chemicals to make you feel bad the next day, I only use the best malt, hops and yeast available.
Commercial brew makes me spew.....

I must admit Paul, a good home brew will beat a commercial brew, hands down.
The taste is just miles ahead.
