I planned to be there for Saturday and Sunday nights, but decided not to go because of this

What a bummer

I hope they had some great viewing last night, but its a long way to go for one nights viewing.

Been a beautiful day here but now clouded over with occasional rain.

Hope it clears up for them.

Geez, the site of Vicsouth is currently being bombarded by horrendous weather and thunderstorms!!!!!

See pic: Green is rain, and the red white and blue crosses are lightning strikes. The yellow circle is the Vicsouth site!

Welcome back Petra. I hope you all had a great time.

As an organiser of an Astro camp I was very concerned about your weather!

Please tell us it all worked out well.

Had a great time even though we only got one good night of observing. Great mix of people and scopes. Date to mark in calendar for next yr. Leon took heaps of photos! Here are some of mine. (Note: there is only one image file attached.)

Hey all

Sorry David, no sparky bits from me but there we many that were taking pics of the impressive light show that we had on Saturday. Lots of excellent people, scopes and red wine to compensate for staying under cover on Saturday night

Still sorting the pics, - but there is one that I have to post now before I fall into bed.

The hat is a really long story and needs to be told in its entirety.

Well as most of you would expect, not to much observing was done this weekend. As it turned out the public viewing on the Friday night was the only clear night for the whole weekend.
I didn't bother to get my camera out on that night as I wasn't expecting the rest of the weekend to be clouded out but them's the brakes.

I must congratulate Fraser Farrell for the tireless effort he puts in for the weekend, he's nothing short of a human dynamo. Great job mate! (You can stop lurking now and make your presence known. )

Cristian and Leon, it was great meeting you both. Leon you better start posting some of the 1000 photo's you must of taken. Every time I looked you were snapping something, Mike would of been proud of you!

Steve and Anthony, it was great to catch up again guys and I'm sure you'll agree it was a great weekend none the less, with a lot of laughs and jokes had by all.

To all the new friends we made (you know who you are. Stop hiding. ) thank you for a most enjoyable weekend, even though the weather Gods weren't kind you all made it worth while.

Now that I see Dave has gone off-line I'll sneak some more in.

Here's a few from the tail end of the sunset on Sunday night. Unfortunately I missed the start

Hi John,

Glad to hear you all had a ball! Sounds a bit like our last November Camp: Lousy weather but great company.

Looks like very good facilities in Steves pics!
