Bugger. I was holding back on paying my tax. I know that it would not really matter, but I just wanted to get the last laugh... They always seem to win. They just got one over the Myans.

Indeed.

The irony being I think the physics has been quite sound for over 3 decades, we are buggering up the atmosphere.

How, uniquely in Australia (by effectively) taxing those on higher incomes, but providing subsidies to those on lower incomes, to carry on as usual and still produce CO2, is beyond me.

I like the Thorium cycle, but that according to the Greens, will also end the world as we know it.

Oh! Oh!

I get it.

It was a hoax.

But, but people *really* thought it was going to happen?

Seriously?!

What it didn't, or maybe it did and we exist in an alternative reality but don't know it yet

What Barry said. The mice called for a new Earth and the Magratheans built it, complete with humans with continuous memories.

There really must be some very foolish people, and lots of them to actually believe such nonsense.

We went to local shops-which is still a fair drive, and the shelves of food were very low-no bread,I asked the girl why no bread-people came in early bought it all to take to bunkers in the bush.

How can people really believe such fake stories and go into melt down.

Anyway, now the world has not ended,I'll have to drive all the way to town and get some food, all the bother these damn ned flanders's cause

BTW good points Peter-those greens pedal some tripe, that people actually believe.
