Lazenby wasn't too bad, and he had one of the best lines and one of the first breaking the 4th wall lines in movies when he gets rejected on the beach by a girl
You openly admit that Connery is the best. Yet you voted for Lazenby.???
That's OK You felt for the underdog.
I think all of them are great actors. I do however see them fall short of the real tough guy. They have no muscle. Not any of them. 6 months in the gym and they would look the part. They fall short.

I think he's had more than 6 months at the gym. How big do they need to be
I grew up with the Roger Moore era, yet he's near the bottom of my list (he can't act for poop if you ask me, which you didn't )
1. Daniel Craig - personifies the modern "spy" - actually, more realistic for any era than all of them
2. Sean Connery - good acting, well done always
The list thus endeth Brosnan I can only remember as the other guy in Mrs. Doubtfire, Dalton was acceptable (if only just), Lazenby was pretty mediocre at best (can't always push an Aussie over the line)
Girls, gadgets, humour and exotic locations - that was the Bond formula. Bond is dead now, the newer episodes are just forgettable, run-of-the-mill action. Might as well watch Mission Impossible or Jason Bourne.

+1 Carlos
Marty I dont think "spies" need to be tough guys.......... I dont think Arnie would be able to do the job ( except maybe in True Lies---also great funny movie), cuase it would attract to much attention.........
Funny thing though about attracting too much attention....how many times did JB walk into a hotel and the reception clerk would greet him with " ah Mr Bond, welcome.....your room is 123 ze exzecutive zuite"??????
Fleming's Bond was little more than a thug, and so Craig is probably the most Bond-like in that respect. He plays him as being a hard man who is a long way from perfect, which is probably the most accurate depiction of them all, so far.
Still, a lot of people I know reckon Connery was best.
Me - last week in Phang Nga Bay Thailand. Just my luck to get the wife as a Bond Girl. The Ray Gun is missing out of the top of the rock but you should be able to pick the movie.
