Definitely an interesting thing. However for me, I don't want to take a photo and decide later (or not be able to decide at all) what's important to tell the story etc.

That right there is the joy of photography i.e. the 'decisive moment' hopefully with enough time to get the aperture/speed settings right :-)

Make a good tech for security cams if it meant having hi-res and good depth-of-field tho.

I'll still toy with one a bit when I can but it will never be a serious camera of choice for me. Bit like how a 'Magic Eye' book is never going to take place of a good Louvre coffee table book.

Of course they should put one on the James Webb so they can get some of those distant galaxies in focus. And perhaps bounce the focus around different planets in newly discovered solar systems.
