If you go to a good camera store Dirk you will be able to pick up a goose neck for attaching your binoc to your tripod.

I got my bino adaptor from Ebay. It was new from Hong Kong and with postage cost around $20. Don't know what they go for in the shops.

AOE or Andrews have inexpensive tripod adapters for binoculars. Under $10 for a plastic one, $20 for metal. Bintel Melbourne also has some nice ones (esp Roger's ones are very tough).

I ordered a set of bino's from AOE today with a tripod adapter thrown in to the deal, just have to wait for delivery, then get out there and have a gander at the night sky.
