Well ok, it doesn't take that long but I can easily centre an object, go back to my observation table and make a few notes, come back and find the object still in the FOV. With my 12.5mm plossl this was unthinkable. And I'm working with a mag of 115.

I think a 65~68° FOV will be good for most observers. Though I haven't observed with a nagler or UWA or UWAN yet I think 68° will be a nice thing to start with.

fair enough Steve

Don't mind me. I'm in a bit of a crazy mood today. Only a few days before I'm off on a very long weekend down the coast. I'm taking both my scopes to see how they fare under different skies (better seeing hopefully than Canberra).

You've got every right to be miffed. Sending something that you didn't order is simply unacceptable. In fact, it's quite bizarre, really.

I too have had bad experiences with this dealer but (perhaps naively) would like to give the guy a 2nd (or 3rd) chance at taking him at his word.

I was told the shipment's just about here. I suppose Xmas is too, by some measure???!!!

I think we'll all feel better if we sit and watch a few more Simpson's episodes
