Hi Scott,

Good to hear all is well for you and your family.

We had a storm come through here on the upper North Shore of Sydney Friday week
August 19th. The wind gusts were very severe and it downed a neigbouring tree
and caused some damage.

Not so lucky was a truck driver who had a tree fall on the cabin of his small
truck on Pennant Hills Road. He was taken to Royal North Shore in a critical
condition.

All makes trying to dodge the vehicles whilst crossing a busy Nairobi road sound comparatively safe for a change.

As they say in Swahili, Hakuna matata!

We seemed to have made it through. Still some wind and rain but the worst should be over. Lots of limbs and sticks down at our house but no trees. Our power flickered a time or two but is still on. A number of folks in our town are without power due to tree downed lines but not us!

I wrote too soon we lost power Sunday evening as part of the repair process (turned off all power) to protect the workers repairing things. We are now back up and running with power and internet (only out two days) but seemed longer. Downside is it is back to work tomorrow
