Awesome Houghie.

That'll be a super scope for galaxies and closeups.

It'll need the larger pixelled cameras like 9 micron models like 11002, 6303.

Or a compromise with ST10XME that seems quite tolerant as a camera.
I would avoid the KAF8300 chip with that though.

The 6303 would be a good match with short exposures to avoid blooming or longer exposures with narrowband.

Thanks for the heads up on those specs greg - to be truthfull i havent really looked at that yet (no money ) i will be using my trusty old 40D for a while. mate it will be a huge step for me to move to a mono camera. I have a qhy10 and still havent played with that yet

Avoid the KAF-8300, eh? Oops! I'm using exactly that (QSI-583) on my C14HD. I just bin it at F/11 (native) and f/7.2 (AP CCDT67 reducer) and don't at f/1.9 (Hyperstar). I'll bet it will work even better with the Meade.
