Great stuff there Paul.  Well done for getting out there and getting the kids involved. There will be kids there that will remember this day for ever and you may have helped start a new life long interest and hobby for them.

Wish i could take credit for it Daniel, but the Cosmic Kids Club has been running from the School and using the Observatory for about 7 years now. I just turn up for the spotlight events 
Oh and running a few beginner classes for adults.

What I found Suzy is its on Saturday afternoon at 4 in 7 weeks time. Won't do me any good I don't have TV reception LOL

I don't know Molly.  I've never seen or heard of the program before this, but as I said I don't have TV reception. One of the best things about living in the back blocks.

it is called Discover Down Under, and it is on Channel 9, Saturdays 4pm. Should be Australia wide. Have a look at the tv guide, or channel 9 site on line if you don't have a guide.

I just saw Paul on tv!!! Recorded Discover Down Under on Sat, and only just watched it. All decked out in his IIS outfit . This is the first time I have watched this programme, and it is really enjoyable. The scenery shots through Mapleton and Monteville are breathtaking. It's been about 20 years since I last visited, so will definitely have to get back up their soon, perhaps even combining it with one of your Astro nights Paul, Nettie & Ron.
