True, top-quality gear will hold its value better (and in the case of Astro Physics, command a paradoxical premium over the new price because you're avoiding the wait list).
But even a brand new car will lose $000s in value the moment you drive it onto the street. I don't expect to pay anything like as much for an
unused Lamborghini, if I'm not buying it from a registered dealer. Sorry, just my psychology I guess.
