I can totally see that too, keep going on your kick and maybe you will be the first amateur astronomer to appear in Ralph

Yes, well, I know what you mean, in my younger hey day I was constantly being compared to Arnold Swarzenegger in fact when I met my wife she had that idea and introduced me to everyone as "Arnie" and on her side of our friends and family, 21 years later, I still get called Arnie by a few .. later I got Brendon Faser a bit

Bit of a stunner this Jen, fellas? eh? eh?

I like the wardrobe too, IIS T shirt and beanie, well done!!

Best thing about the time you spent there is the valuable advice which allows you more enjoyment of your scope.

How was the serenity??

Cheers

Chris

Surely someone has got a pic of that. Please, please don't tell me "you had to be there ...!"

Cool Lost for words…..

Jen,
Forget the pics, I'm more impressed with the colour of the scope!!! (I've assumed it is yours?)

There was a time when I use to observed with a whole lot of Celestron 8 observers, with the same old bright orange tubes. After a while, I couldn't stand it any longer, so I bought some light blue Contact, and covered the tube with it so I'd be different than everyone else.

I'll have to dig up a pic, but it sure looks like almost the same colour next to Jen.

All this time, and I thought I was the only one who has had a similar coloured telescope.

If it is your 'scope, I'm actually really so overwhelmingly impressed! (by where are the emoticons plastered all over it?)

Oooooh! I think I need a lie down!
Note: Jen is obviously far more classy than the avatar image here on IIS! (shyness? ) Perhaps it IS time to change it to one of Leon's images! (Looking at the download numbers, now fifty plus, it might be a good idea.)

Thanks so much for the photos. My my, aren't astronomers a handsome lot!! My trouble is that, apart from Jen, I don't recognise any other the others, though I probably know them via the forum. Could we be let in on the identities of this fine body of men (or is that body of fine men?) ???

Andrew - unless I'm much-mistaken, Jens' scope is standard "Sky-Watcher Blue". It's their standard colour.

Great images, thanks for posting. They brought a smile to my face and a reminder of the astro camps I used to attend 25 years ago. I hope to see you all in March for my first astrocamp in some 20 years. Got to break that drought.

I agree. Leon's first sequence starts off all frowns, then smiles at the end!

Hey what’s wrong with you blokes. Blood don’t run in your veins anymore. Forget the PJs over the jeans PIC. When’s that Ralph issue coming out that strongmanmike was talking about.
