Alex, 'subtle as a sledge hammer in a crystal shop' , love it . It must be the boilermaker in me .

Trev , good buy I had forgotten how good a diecent 25mm plossl is , it was the first real eyepiece I ever bought many moons ago , work very well , not just in newtonions but refractors and CAT's as well .
Look forward to first light report when the SV's arrive , after you have tried all 3 tried together .
Take Alex's advice like I did at the start and leave that set well alone , they will only disappoint compared with what you are getting , no comparisim between them and the Plossl/SV's .

PSALM19.1, no need to apologise about butting in mate , that's what these fourums are all about , people communicating about astronomy you are more than welcome any time .

Brian.

thanks again gents I think as far as the kits and standard ep's that came with the scope goes = meeehhhhhhhh ,would I have purchased the 127eq back then knowing what I know now, NO , Its going to make the next scope purchase a much more educated buy, but it will still be a decent little scope to go camping with, Will keep this updated when the sv's arrive not really excepting to much of an improvement over the new 25mm but no doubt it will be much better than what came with the scope.

another question though, if the next scope i purchase uses 2mm ep's is there an adapter or a way of still using these 1.25 ep's

Do you mean 2 inch ( not 2mm ) focuser , if so the answer is yes , all scopes that come with a 2 inch focuser come with a 2 inch - 1 1/4 inch adaptor so you can use either .
