Great.
Thanks for the feedback, people.

Looks like I will keep one on the shopping list for when I visit Bintel next.

Terry, perhaps if you could help me to get this correct, I'll write it down somewhere so I don't forget again:-

A network cable plug is:..............RJ?? and has 8? pins

A telephone cable plug is:...............RJ11? and has 6? pins

A telephone handset cable plug is:...............RJ22? and has 4 pins

RJ11 and RJ12 seem to be the same thing but with 4 vs 6 pins. It has 6 pin spaces but most of the cables for phones here in Oz only have 2 or 4 wires in then so they are useless for connecting scopes.
Network cables are RJ45 with 8 pins.
RJ22 is smaller and has 4 pins. It can also be called RJ9 or RJ10.
Now I'm confused

On a different note. Has anyone attempted to connect one of these units via a serial port for control directly from a computer. You would still need to connect the 9v but I'm sure it can be done. The shoestring adaptor people have a USB connector but at US$70+ it is a bit steep for a ~A$60 item.

RJ10 RJ11 RJ12 RJ45

Excuse me, but everytime I get confused I have to search too many threads. So I'll insert this here for next time I forget!
