Maitland Bay Milky Way

Well, just for something different the kids and I hiked out to Maitland Bay, on Sydney's Central Coast, and spent the afternoon beach combing and then settled in to take some nights capes.

I think that this one is my best result from the set of images that I took.
There was a killer dew that night and it was giving real dramas.

Canon 7D
Tonika 11mm-16mm @11mm
f2.8
25s exposures

Nice Image, The foreground looks great well lit. The "bend" in the shooting star/plane is a little distracting at the top of the image could you clone it out?

Thanks Matt,

yeah I totally agree that the plane is distracting and yes that is a great idea to remove it.
I guess I didnt as there are actually about 10 of them in the image already :-)

Yeah I noticed the other planes but they werent as distracting as the one up the top and its bended flight path (due to the stitching I'm guessing). Even the one between the pointers and crux looks fine to me.

OK, opinions well noted and here is an adjusted image without the plane.
You are absolutely correct and this is a far superior edit!
Cheers

Thanks for the comments.
That isn't the sun however, that is a tanker anchored off the coast.
When we walked onto the beach from the track the first thing that i saw was the tanker and I wanted to cry as I knew that this would be result of it, but I enacted my 'never walk away from a location, at least try something' policy and, well, I am happy with the result as the majority of people will simply think that that is the sun or moon.
