Corona Aus from this morning

Almost real time, here is 20 x 300s L channel with the FSQ and 16803 from this morning's imaging run. RGB exposures are running as I write this.

You still have to push pretty hard to bring up the extended dust cloud.

That looks great. Nice framing, you've captured a large part of it there.

Greg.

That's a great field and framing. I have half of it now and I'd like to do a color mosaic of the area. Weather pending.

Hi Marc, If you do a web search, you'll find a few extreme wide field images that show a long, trailing cloud of dust across a good portion of the constellation.

Hi Mike,

I don't like my color processing skills so I stick to the easy grayscale.

Thank you Greg. You have a very nice image of this area. As I gather color data, I'll see what I can get. But I've never been good at color.

A beautiful monochrome photo John.

Nice, wide composition, sharp and so much detail.

Who needs colour!

Ross.

Thanks Louie! Just as I began working on the RGB, the weather turned poor in Coonabarabran. The Moon is soon to get in the way. Still, lots of months ahead to finish this up.
