Really nice work Paul, an excellent time lapse sequence.

The music was very stirring and really suited the subject matter. The sensation of flying through the clouds was quite stunning as their tones and hue moved towards the golden yellows.

Cheers

Dennis

Nicely done, Paul! The Aurora was certainly a bonus but it would have been a good time lapse even without it.

Cheers,
Rick.

Enjoyed that Paul. It's a fun hobby, hey! Sure beats watching TV on a Saturday night.

Sheesh, that 29th aurora was dazzling. I can see now why the Tassie FB group went bonkers.

Dennis, the cloud speed is what prompted me to look for an upbeat musical score. I spent an hour or so last night just listen to music on a site I get the music from.

What I like about it most Colin, is the ease of which you can produce pleasurable looking data. All I have to do is setup the tripod and camera, put on the dew protection and plug in the panning gear and I am off and collecting data. All the while I can be collecting data at the observatory or getting some planetary data. The beauty of course it doing this where ever I travel. I certainly see the advantages.

I imagine that Tassie was ablaze. At 35.5 degrees south it was bright but I reckon at 42 degrees south it would have been like fire works.

An excellent video! Great music and choreography with the visuals. The only thing which toned it down for me was the credits which hit me like a freight train at the end I'd suggest more fade-out and slower paced credits

Thanks guys for your comments.

Roger I will take a look at the credits. I had addressed this already once but now that you raise it again I can see that it is still a little too fast.

Thanks Greg,

I have now dated the video with slower credits and a slower section where the main aurora is located in the video. It was suggested to me that this area looked to be over too quickly. So I have slowed it down enough to make it more prominent.
