Pipe Nebula Setting - DeepSkyScape Fantasy

Hello,

Another "artistic" impression, this time of the the Pipe Nebula region of the Milky Way setting.

Photographed in the Ilford region of NSW.

Sky layer taken with Nikon 100mm F2.8 lens on QHY8L OSC CCD.

Terrestrial layer taken with Sony a550 DSLR with Minolta 70-210 F4 lens.

Processed with Deep Sky Stacker and Photoshop CS2.

The photo is here http://smu.gs/107brXJ

What do you think?

Thanks for looking.

Ross.

How cool is that. Shame about that tree obscuring the milkyway though. You could have moved a little to the left.

I like these almost surreal pics .Could even be considered a new art form.If your weather is anything like ours at the moment I,m guessing a few more are in production.
Cheers Derek

Thanks Ric.

From where I live in Sydney all I see are trees and light pollution....it's good to imagine.

Hi Derek.

Thank you for your great comments, much appreciated.

The bad weather here in Sydney continues. It's pouring rain outside at the moment, hasn't stopped for a week and no end in sight!
I have one more photo to go in this series, but the weather might encourage a few more.

Hi Marc,

Glad you like the photo.

I always appreciate your creative advice so I moved the camera to the left and......wow!
