Hello,

My first posting of a Nightscape.

Sky layer is 46 x 30 second exposures, Nikon F2.8, 100mm lens at F4.
Modded Canon 350d at 1600asa.

Terrestrial layer is with Sony a550 and 70-210 zoom at 105mm.

Processing with DeepSkyStacker and Photoshop CS2.

Thanks for looking.

Ross.

That's really cool Ross!

It's good fun to let the imagination run riot some times.

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Justin. Yes, we need some fun sometimes.

Hi Kym,

Thank you.
This was from a rush trip to Mudgee one Saturday to get Comet Lemmon before it disappeared.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the appreciation and kind comments.

Combining Deep Sky Objects with terrestrial landscapes and objects using longer focal length lenses or even telescopes has been something I've been experimenting with for a while.

Hi Richard,

Thanks, glad you like it.

12 hours driving in 24 hours + imaging time...it was hard work!

It's a beautiful image, Ross. I look forward to the day when a scene like this can be captured in camera.

Lovely shot indeed.

A bit of light painting on that wind mill would have went a long way. Super shot non the less.
