Hi all,
I took advantage of the clear sky last night and had a go at capturing Lemmon near the SMC and 47 Tuc. I used my Tamron 90mm macro lens this time, with the camera just on a tripod (since I don't have a tracking mount). This image was made using 20 x 20sec exposures at f/2.8 and 3200 iso (plus 10 darks), stacked in DSS and processed in LR3. I'm pretty happy with the result for a tripod-mounted camera

. It was taken from near Warrill View, south west of Brisbane.
The comet has noticably brightened over the last week, and the tail is much more prominent. i could easily spot the comet with naked eyes, and could see about 2 degrees of tail in my 7x50 binoculars. A fabulous view!
Cheers,
Stephen
