I managed to latch on to this ISS pass with my 4 inch refractor on a Vixen Porta mount and track the ISS across about 70% of it's pass using the slow motion controls. It was quite a sight with stars skimming past in the background. Lower down on it's pass the ISS changed to a vivid red and then dimmed as it as a result of residual smoke haze from the recent Tassie bush fires.
Thanks Larry, Ross!
I got lucky with the composition as I had set up and composed the shot but when I saw the ISS I realised it was slightly out of frame. So I just grabbed the camera and swung it around a bit and hoped for the best!
