The City Dark

Of course I'm preaching to the converted here, but I just came across a brilliant documentary about light pollution, titled "The City Dark". Very poignant for me, as for the last few weeks I've been starting to look for some acreage out in the sticks that will hopefully one day serve my retirement. Having grown up at a dark-sky location, and been fascinated by Astronomy since about age 9 when my dad took us to see Comet Kohutek, I lament the fact that for most of my life I had lived under light-polluted skies...

Anyway, here's their site:

The DVD is available from Amazon for a measly 20 bucks, add another 5 for shipping to Oz. Very worthwhile!

Clear (and dark) skies!
