Useless fact:
THE Delorian, the one in the movies, is privately owned by some guy that collects movie memorabilia and pinball machines. He also has a pile of stuff from the 'Jaws' movies
Saw it either on an episode of 'American Pickers' or in the Pinball documentary "Special When Lit"
Cant remember exactly, but think it was the latter.

I cannot understand why anyone would actually want one I have driven a Delorean and it has no air con, you can't wind a window down, as it has only a small flap in the window, so it gets really hot inside on a summer day. It isn't that great to drive either. However, it does have that certain "sex appeal" though and sure turns heads.

If I was wealthy, perhaps it would be nice to have one, just so that I could say that I have one! Having said that though, I am not a car enthusiast anyway and wouldn't collect cars. My priority, if I was that wealthy, would be to build a big observatory with a big scope, for personal use!

The one I drove ended up selling for $22,000 But then, $22,000 in those days was probably equivalent to GBP70,000 today. I certainly couldn't have afforded to buy it then, nor now.

LOL.. I was having a go Woz Nearly every kid I know at the time called it a "capacitator", with the extra "ta", because they had absolutely no clue as to what one was. It was always the running joke.

Not thanks the design is very dated and I could think of a lot of other cars I'd rather have for near on $100000

I did take it that way too I wasn't even sure I had it right as I often have letters backwards and roundabout.

Did anyone see this episode of Monster Garage when they tried to make a Hovercraft out of a DeLorean

No. Have not seen it.

Did it work?

EDIT: Sorry. Just checked the link. I went straight to the end and it has a rough ending. I am guessing it failed.
