Coffee bean nebula

This is an object that I've never imaged before and indeed never heard of until it was suggested to me by Sakib Rasool. Certainly not many images of it around. This is only Ha at present but colour should follow eventually.

Cheers

Steve

When you convert it from RAW, does it become roasted or tif?

Thanks for all the nice comments. Greg, it's at 15 54 36.5, -54 08 43. I always include the RA and Dec in the image caption.

Cheers

Steve

Interesting target there Steve and abundantly clear as to why it has that name.

Just think Steve, when you have completed this image with colour you will be able to say "Bean there done that"

Great field really.

Ha ha. Yes I think colour will look good if I can get the balance right. Haven't been doing too well on that lately

Yes it's a new one on me Martin and one of the few objects that looks like its namesake. On searching I did find a few images of it, even one on IIS a few years back but there certainly aren't many.

Octavia from Belaroma

The fair trade good bean is great for our brains and the kids who get to school. I'm stoked on fresh ground at 5am. The claim the aroma is just a tease can be false if you've got a good snifter. Steve, you obviously have! If it wasn't a coffee bean I'd be going for a cattle tick but I'm a dairyman's daughter, at home in the Milky Way. I'm impressed and looking forward to future sniffs. Flat White please. Kate.

Thanks Kate. I'm not expecting the colour version to be coffee coloured. I'm not sure what colour a cattle tick is.

Not sure how easy it is visually. A nebula filter would be essential I think.
