It wasn't the best of nights for imaging. While the sky was clear, there was a lot of moisture in the air and the seeing was so bad, some of the stars were almost blinking on and off.

You're a machine, jjj!! I picked up my RC8 mere hours after yours arrived, you've already imaged so many targets, and here I am still still waiting to attach my camera to it. Nope, no feelings of inadequacy at all!
The seeing has been awful here too - the sky looks nice but the results are nowhere near the level of expertise would expect you to produce.
M16 is a spectacular target and the smoothness of your image tells me that if your seeing had been better, your result would have been magazine material
