Before the Dawn

The light was magnificent before the dawn on Good Friday, 22nd April 2011. It was completely overcast earlier on, but at the right time the clouds started to part and the sky was lit up with beautiful deep reds and oranges.

Captured at Forresters Beach on the 22nd April 2011. The moment I saw this shot on the camera I knew it was a keeper. It's a single exposure captured with my Canon 40D, Sigma 17-70mm lens @ 17mm, f/9, ISO250, 1/60s exposure. Cropped for panorama and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Wonderful

Beautiful colours Mike!

Sunrises are usually subdued events compared to sunsets but this one is the real
"red sky at morning, sailors take warning" full-on deal!
