Very hard to define a particular group of songs from that era with so many changes in styles and what I liked/was doing at the time. I went from school to work to uni then, but I'll give it a shot though.
Early seventies:
Most of what Daddy Cool put out, Blackfeather, AC/DC, Slade, BBKing, John Mayall's Blues Breakers, Billy Thorpe, Badfinger. Songs from Morning of the Earth.

Mid seventies:
Wishbone Ash, Pink Floyd, Al diAmola, Supertramp, Eagles, Steely Dan, Lindesfarn.

Late seventies:
Woo Hoo punk had arrived Stooges, Ramones, NY Dolls, The Only Ones Pistols Clash Radiobirdman Sportz Saints and on it goes.....
Too busy to have favourites in that decade.

Regards
Keith

Kev, I completely forgot about that class of '74 song, must go you-tube it.
Marty Rhone from that show did Denim & Lace and that's one of my fav. songs. Oooh he was such a hotty too! Had to stop myself dribbling when just now seeing that video again. I think that show was on at 3.30, just in time for after school.

There are waaaay too many much loved songs from that era. The seventies was when music truly came alive. And hasn't that music stood the test of time even with this new generation.

Does anyone remember the album "Explosive Hits '74"? See it here with the track listing.
I have it - it's the BEST album ever!

Save Your Kisses For Me (Brotherhood of Man)

The Newcastle Song (Maureen Elkner)- remember rak off Normie you and your mates?!
It such a classic Aussie ocker song when Aussies were Aussies back then and not Americanised like today.

There are just so many great songs from the 70's to choose from. My favourite five are:

1. Paranoid - Black sabbath
2. Battle of Evermore - Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven runs a close second)
3. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd (just to add something with an astronomical flavour).
4. Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
5. More Than A feeling - Boston

Cheers Peter

Suzy,

I have to thank you for providing those links.... I watched the first one and when it finished you tube suggested some other clips to watch, one of which was Boys, Boys, Boys by Sabrina. I'd forgotten about that song and clip!

I loved that clip as she desperately fought with her bikini top in the pool trying to maintain her dignity. And just as I remembered she failed miserably!

Once again Suzy, thank you!

"Money", Pink Floyd
"Wish You Were Here", Pink Floyd
"Immigrant Song", Led Zeppelin
"Ramble On", Led Zeppelin (ok was released in 1969, close enough )
"Hotel California", The Eagles

Mario,
I remembered the song but not the clip so I had a look and I had to pick my jaw up from the ground.

*gulp* you're welcome

Forget keeping the top on, I want to know how she keeps all that make-up on in the water.

Btw, she wasn't trying very hard to maintain her "dignity".
