NGC6188 in Ha
How's your astro IQ today?
See if you can spot where this "Running Horse Nebula" is located?
Or is it really 2 horseheads - one facing one way and one larger one facing the other way?

If he's going to get $100 million, why buy a CDK17 when you can afford a 2 metre class scope....maybe even an uber CDK

That's going to look spectacular when complete.
I reckon, for now, just for display purposes, you can pump a fair amount of contrast in that image.

Thanks Humi. All I need is a clear night. I think I'll do NB on this one seeing Mikes and another one here that looked really good in NB.
Good call on increasing the contrast. I did that and it came up nicely.

Nice clean image Greg but this target needs the wide field to add the extra oomph of this target. Better make this the start of a big mosaic.
Now that would be an interesting image, all this area done with the 17" WOW.

It is a bit pushed. I might add some more exposure time to it to make it a bit stronger.

Yes I agree. That lovely twisty bit of gas is bit further to the right. I think I will do that if enough clear skies come my way.

A CDK700 has a theoretical Dawes Limit of 0.166".
The 17000 (
), has a theoretical limit of 0.00682"
Your scope has a Dawes Limit of 0.269"

Oh I see.
I got LRGB data last night when the weather cleared early at 12am.
So I'll be adding that now.

Another part of the sky I did not know existed.
Great photo.
Thanks.
