Does The Monthly Observing Challenge still exist?

Whilst looking around the site, I came across the "The Monthly Observing Challenge" page. What a great idea for new observers.....but then I noticed that it has not been updated for a long time.

Would this be worth starting up again, or are there other options available?

There's been a few attempts over recent years to re-ignite it again, but I just haven't had the time to commit to it.

I'm hoping later this year it will be quicker and easier for me, and I'll look at re-starting it then.

Sean, it isn't dead. I've been too busy to set one for a while. Orestis has stepped in on occasions to set one, but he's got school.

I'll look to get one up for June.

Is there some type of object, os theme, you'd like featured?

I am working furiously at the moment to get a challenge going for what's left of May. As we're half way through the month already, the challenge list will be a very short one though.

I will have it on here before it gets dark tonight, so please check back later.

I'm looking for as many participants as possible for this month's challenge, so please join in - that includes all you newbies out there.

Hey, Suzy, how about you make it a hard one for us down in the south east? Something like "Observe 'A' star, 'Any' star!!"? At the moment, that looks like it could be almost impossible to achieve!!
