DIY dew controller?

Hi looking for a DIY dew controller...the project kit on IIS seems not to be available. Are there any other kits around that would be suitable? eg
Jaycar CAT. NO. KC5225 10A 12VDC Motor Speed Controller Kit ?

I'm not electronically literate, but did complete a Cookbook 245 successfully, so I can follow instructions!

Is there any chance that a PWM controller will generate noise that would affect a CCD camera? I seem to recall that old Kendrick controllers had this propblem?

cheers
Gary

Thats the exact kit I used for my Dew controller, With the exception I also added a 10K potentiometer soldered to the existing on board pot so I could adjust the heat to maximum of only 500mA which is more than enough for my Strap that I used for my camera. The strap I made up of a couple of lengths of coaxial cable which I flattened with a hammer and lightly rubbed it with sandpaper to expose the copper... I soldered 16 390 ohm 0.5w resistors to this 18mm apart for my strap. this varies and I used a spreadsheet to work all this out, I think it's available via the DIY controller described on IIS.

I also have two other sockets ready for another two straps but haven't done these yet. The circuit is more than enough for all of this... You could almost say it's a little overboard, but works well...

As for interference I am not sure...

don't bother with the kit

buy ready made

i chose the 3 amp model but there is a larger one

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWNX:IT

12 volt input is the red led end - motor output the other (just check with meter which output terminal is positive)
