Fish for breakfast!

Hi all,

While camping at Lake Wivenhoe last weekend I was lucky enough to catch this Whistling Kite (? I think - can anyone confirm the ID?) bringing a fish home to its young in the nest. The focus isn't perfect, but I'm happy with the result .

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Chris. I thought it was a Whistling Kite based on the description in my bird book, but it's good to have it confirmed by a raptor expert!

Cheers,
Stephen

What a beautiful bird, wow!

I reckon you could brighten the bird up in the first shot of the series. Just a touch!

Otherwise, great sequence!

Great captures, Stephen.

It is soo nice to look at the blue sky after the never ending overcast here in Melbourne. Week in, week out - no sunshine.

Cheers,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I got lucky with the weather last weekend, because we are having a week of rain at the moment.

Cheers,
Stephen
