Question Dumb photoshop CS3+ question

OK, silly question, but, something that's bugged me for all the time I've used CS3...

In CS3 if I ctrl-tab between documents it will also reset to the centre of the image. For example - move to the top right of an image at 100%, ctrl-tab away, ctrl-tab back and it'll put you in the centre, not leave you at the top right.

In PS5 (which I upgraded to CS3 from) it would stay where I left it.

Anyone know what setting/configuration I'm missing to stop this annoying behaviour?

Thanks!

Is it "Zoom Resizes Window" on the General tab?

Funny, my CS3 does the same as CS5 which is not recentering. Maybe you have a setting in CS3 that was deprecated in CS5 or moved somewhere else.

Hmm, odd.

I just tried on CS4 and it does not recenter either.

Makes me wonder what setting has gone amiss on my CS3. Perhaps I'll try resetting all settings to default tonight.

It's a very hard problem to google for, just don't find meaningful results..
