Everything but Io animation

Here's an animation I put together from August 9th. It starts off with a Ganymede occultation/Callisto transit. Then as the WIS appears, Europa comes into view. All as the GRS watches.

Io was getting closer but my FOV wasn't quite big enough... Enjoy!

Wow! Excellent animation there Dave.
The amount of surface detail you captured on Ganymede (?) is phenomenal.

Woo Hoo! what a great animation. Would you be able to post one with a slower animation so each frame can be appreciated for just that little bit longer?

Really top stuff there Dave,

So much happening, heaps of detail, not sure where to look.

Very well done.

Trevor

Slower Frame rate

As requested, see later post for direct link to .5s per frame (larger image scale and no zipping). Thanks for all the feedback - I almost posted this frame rate initially...

Thanks for that, it looks great. I particularly like the shot of Ganymede (?) disappearing into the shadow of Jupiter. I can't recall seeing an image like that so clearly.

Hi Dave,

Regarding your file size, why not use the IIS ftp server to upload your animations, then all you do is supply the link in your post to your animation. Just about every Jup animation I have posted for this apparition has been larger than 1Mb, so I have uploaded them onto the IIS ftp server. There are instructions how to do it on the IIS home page, also you have to PM Mike for a password and then its plain sailing.

Regards
Trevor

One last version

Thanks Trevor - I finally figured out what I wanted to do originally. I tried to load it into Google but had a problem last night. Sorry for the extra work getting a good rendition... So much to learn
