Yes. From the article, the worrying thing is that keeping tabs on all the junk is beyond the US military and the so called "collision cascade"- a domino effect where collisions create more debris which generates more collisions and even more debris.
I can see a future career in COST (Collection of Orbital Space Trash).
Maybe Richard Branson will come on board!

I did some initial COSTing. About 100 billion should cover it.
NASA said we could have their retired space shuttles for a song.
Richard said he would think it over.
No experience necessary. In-flight training.
But must have a sense of humour. You're in, Jen!
Only one problem, no-one will cover for life insurance.
Now, I am getting carried away (space maybe)!

Apologies to Glen. Space junk is a serious issue.
