Jupiter and thunderstorm

Hi,

yesterday I had the chance to observe a very special atmospere.
Jupiter with sagittarius and a big thunderstorm far away.
I used the 350d to make 36 pics.

Here are the results:

I think they're awesome. I love the 2nd one best....it shows the clear sky above the chaos of the weather.

Wow!! What an awsome shot.

I would definitely be blowing that shot up and hanging it on the wall for all to see if that were mine.

Cheers Daniel.

Fantastic pics prokyon. Very dramatic. I was just wondering how you managed to get two pics with the lightning in exactly the same place, with different sky above? (ie the same lightning strikes, different sky). Fantastic effect, the second shot is far more appealing than the first.

Spectacular shots, Werner!

In the first photo, what is the stationary light in the sky? It stands out compared to the star trails.

Hi Al,

the stationary light is a mistake.
I added a wrong pic making the startrails. At the first time i didn`t know what that is. Thank you for calling attention to it.
I have to stack the pics a 2nd time without this one. But the startrails pic was only a by-product, my aim was the other pic.

Lovely images Werner, they are spectacular.

As you said "the right spot at the right time" and you've caught some wonderful lightning effect.

Fine work.
