Around M99/M100 - Epsilon 160 + 350xt

Hi all,

may i share with you this picture ?

The raw pictures have been shot during the night of 7th and 8th of may 2008 in the "Champ du Feu", french well-known astro-spot.

Technical data:

- Median 23x300s i.e. 115 min total exposure ; preprocessing avec 9 offset,9 dark and 11 flats medians.
- Imager: eos350xt raw mode; 400iso.
- Astrograph: Takahashi Epsilon 160/530.
- Mount : em200Temma2jr
- Autoguidage : Toucam bw with Guidemaster 1.3, mak90/500 on Miniball Manfrotto.

Pictures were taken with an "Essentiel Electronique" intervallometer ; Processing with Iris 5.51, log, saturation, thresolds.

My apologies, i should have mentionned that this 4.3Mo file can last to be loaded.

Nice work Pierre. Really enjoyed viewing all the background galaxies on display. Interesting region of the sky. The FoV is quite remarkable. I think you should raise the black point to dark the background. This will place greater emphasis on the galaxies by bringing them out more. Also, don't forget to crop your outlier frame alignment (left and bottom of frame). Thanks for sharing.

Hi Pierre.
Lovely collection of Galaxies. Loads of them. Nice detail in them as well.

Picture appears to have a blue tint to the whole picture.
