Considering you aren't very far away you could have shared some of that! We got nothing yesterday and a measly 3 mm the day before.

What we need is weeks of clear skies.

just looked at the national loop for the weather http://www.bom.gov.au/products/natio...sat.loop.shtml
there is a remote possibility of a clear sky in melbourne tonight. Clear patch pushing up from Tas and a large cloud mass coming from the West .... but stuck in between looks clear...

I spotted stars through my kitchen window this morning at about 2am and dashed out with my binos only to find the clouds had closed up .... It's nice to have a dark backyard for a change.

lol clear sky in Melbourne??? Keep dreamin dude

It was clear last night for a limited period. I was busy watching Gordon Ramsey so it wasn't until 10:30pm when I decided to setup, but before I did I looked out the window to the south.

Good move. Saved me a huge deal of effort and rage.
