Thanks for alerting us to it.... great timing, great shots.

I haven't done a lot of work with comets but recently (over the last 3 months) have been doing ongoing photography of 8P Tuttle and have been surprised at the ongoing changes - eruptions or whatever, that occur. I don't photograph it often, probably only ever couple of weeks, but often there's something different. I usually don't pick it up, but the guy I'm taking the photo's for does processing on them and emails me back showing a new change... very interesting stuff I've found. Got me kind of hooked, but I just don't have enough time to chase all the comets!

Hi Roger, I wanted to alert you to C/2007 W1 Boattini, its currently at mag 10.5-10.0 and i imaged it on Monday night using my 8" SCT and 400D, its sporting a small dust tail already! Estimates have its predicted peak at mag 3.8! Its an easy object in Corvus and is well worth watching! Would like to see if you or anybody else can image it!
I'll post my image in a thread in Obs.

Cheers!
