Yeah, got a ripper of one coming through here now, hail, real heavy rain, gale force southerly winds and now bad lightning.

Getting the lot !!!!!!!

Maybe a good chance to get some great lightning pics!
That is if your roof don't get ripped off!

Not much here in Coota, could hear the rumbles in the distance but just clouds and not a lot of rain. Seems to be going around us so far.

Clear as here in Tas, looks like being that way tonight. We don't seem to get much lightning down here any more and given the size of the hailstones I've seen reported, that's not such a bad thing.

This is what we in Rockhampton just got hit by. My brothers and i where out fishing while watching this front move in. The lightning got to bad so we had to pack the boat up and come in. Still got some fish but.

That was a nasty storm alright. alex.I saw a car at my wifes work that was caught in the worst of it..looked like someone had taken a baseball bat to it ..the side mirrors were gone ..AFOAF has a picture i believe which shows him holding in both cupped hands 8 hail stones and thats all he could pile up and hold for the shot.

And that poor guy in the paper today got caught in the middle of a bridge in lismore on crutches when it hit ..he was very
lucky to survive by all accounts and is just beaten black and blue .

I had not heard about that poor chap.
I wonder if anyone has been killed by hail ..I expect it must have happened someplace at some time.

Up home there was no hail but the lightening seems to be all about me.. it freaks me out having had one hit already.
But the rain just was so intense...

AND all around here are happy for the rain but I reckon we are about due for some floods... I dont mind that ..getting fed by helicopter...
Still another week and it may be bush fires to cope with.

This is the site I use coz It's our local lightning radar. There are links further down the page for other locations.

Also, if you click on the 'STRIKES' logo it will give you the ones I placed in here, and others.
