Its amazing the workmanship and designs people keep coming up with.

May have to incorporate some of those bits into the revamped 13"

From the photos I've seen, down to a single pole holding the upper assembly to the primary mirror box! No place for "string" there!

I'm putting together a similar secondary cage design as the first scope on
that page, in the rebuilding my 8". There is also a string spider design
getting about that I have been thinking about.

Many thanks for posting that Mark.

The Rose City astronomers are certainly a very innovative bunch. It is due to Dan Gray's preparedness to think outside the box and then post his work on the web that I now have a 16" dob that I can transport comfortably in the boot of a small car.

All done with mirrors and bits of string
