Phil, leyburne is about two and a half hours south west of Brisbane.
My guess is it would take you about eight hours or more from Rockhampton.
On the map look for Toowoomba and go south west, its about sixty Kms from there. Cheers Ron

I was going to Darren but the forcast is rain tomorrow night and half of saterday, which, considering that all the grass is dead, may make the ground a little boggy don't you think? It's a pity too as it would be my second visit and my first with my new scope.

Weather was great on Sat although we had heavy dewing. Plus the temps dropped below freezing and we got frost in the morning...but on the whole a great night. Just did not have sufficient clothes...hahahaa.

Sounds like you had fun there! I spoke to Dave last week and he said he got a couple of good shots on the Sunday night as well. What did you get up to yourself. Observing, photography, comet hunting?
