Cool When is the exit pupil too small?

Hi guys,

More questions!

How small is too small for an exit pupil? I've been doing some maths, and if an exit pupil is 1mm....isn't that kind of small? What about 0.5mm???

Thanks.

Well, if the eyepiece difficult to use, it's too small. I find a 6mm plossl is very uncomfortable. Any of the long eye relief eyepieces like Televue's or the Vixen LV/LVW range make high-power viewing far more relaxing.

Clear skies,
Shane

Thanks guys. I'll be able to practically test this when my 7mm EP arrives!

Cheers.
