30" Obsession FS in WA

I'm not sure if I'm breaking the rules with this post, and apologise if I am, but I thought this may be of interest to anyone with serious aperture fever:

http://www.astromart.com/classifieds...fied_id=488020

I must emphasise that I am NOT the seller and have no interest (other than an 'I wish'!) in the scope, but if you are seriously interested and not yourself an AstroMart member I would imagine I can organise a way to get you in contact. I'll only ask for a few hours viewing privileges as commission.

Mike, if this is a bad thing to be doing please slap my wrist electronically and delete the post...

I'll move it to General Chat forum, then it's not against the rules.

Found an old log-in of mine from before the 'pay-to-join' era, so was able to see some more detail. The 30in Obsession is "$15,500 negotiable, buyer pays freight."

Now, where did I put that winning lottery ticket?

That's interesting. I knew there was at least one in WA, even looked through it once! This is one BIG scope. Not the thing you get out for a casual look at the moon anyway.

Very reasonable price, considering a new 20" will cost about $12,000 by the time you get it in to the country.

...my ears are burning.....

30 inches might be a bit too large, even for my level of aperture fever. That is one beast of a scope. Some serious ladder climbing would be involved. You are welcome to purchase it HOughy!
