Just testing the waters to see if anyone wants one of these Meade 4.5" f/8.8 (1000mm) OTA's. Comes complete with a 5x24 finder and tube rings. No eyepieces included. These is one of those short-barlow in the focuser type scopes so they are not ideal for high powered planetary views. Still when collimated they provide pleasing views of DSO's and the likes. I personally center spotted the primary and got the scope as close to perfect collimation as possible. Price is $130AUD and this includes postage Australia-wide. Got this as a gift for my little nephew but I think one of those 80mm refractors might be more suitable for him seeing how this scope has to be collimated to give the best views.
Cool Arthur. Its a great lil grab and go...but I have my Orion ST80 for that But this scope does a one up on that scope by being color free. I just have too many "project" scopes lying about....hahhahaa.
