Canon 300mm F2.8L Lens

Hi All.

Look, I know this is bragging, but I just cant resist, and just want to let you see what I picked up at the weekend.

Yep, It's a Canon 300mm F2.8L Lens, just like the one Bert has.

The story behind it is this, the fellow I bought it off, purchased it from Michaels Camera House in Melb, who in turn got a shipment of 6 of these lenses from a Canon display in Japan, and because the boxes were no longer with them they had to sell then as used, but actually they were new.

I have to tell you that this lens is in mint condition, and just wanted to share this with you.

I am very pleased indeed

Cheers Leon

Wow what an awesome lens !
One of the sharpest in the entire Canon range.
You're gonna love it Leon and what a great buy you picked up.

It's awesome for astro work, I'll be waiting to see your images with it.

Is it just me, or if you turn that image 90 degrees anti-clockwise (or rotate your head 90 deg clock) does that lens not suddenly look a heck of a lot like a Saturn V rocket complete except for the capsule itself??

VERY nice lens Leon, everyone IS very jealous indeed.
Good on ya!!
