We were watching something on TV the other day, I think it was Temptation, and a question before the ad break what "which astronaught on Apollo 11 didn't land on the Moon?" My wife said "Now, there was Buzz, who was the other guy?" Her teenage daughter said "Yeah, it was Buzz Lightyear...and...I can't think of the other guy". After a few seconds silence her mum said "Did you say Buzz Lightyear?" I cracked up
I'm amazed that Buzz Aldrin bothered to subject himself to this. I suppose any exposure is better than none as the years go by.
Although I like Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat character, and think he's reasonably clever in his humour, I'm sorry, but I still can't see what makes his AliG character so popular. (Maybe I've just got it in for anything "rap"...... including humour at its expense.)
I seem to remember that Buzz Aldrins last exposure was for punching a reporter that confronted him and claimed that the moon walk was all faked and what did he think about it. He certainly let him know what he thought about it

I saw that footage a few weeks ago on TV, can't remember where. The reporter was a "Richard Cranium". I seem to recall an article in an astronomy magazine recently that mentioned a Japanese satellite that will be able to take super high resolution shots of the Moon that will be capable of resolving the lunar landers...how smoooooth will that be! I guess they could do that in paint brush...I guess when they finally take bus tours of the Moon people will think they built it there for the tourists!
The people who think the landing was fake are probably the same ones that still think the face on Mars is real, even though the hi res shots of the same area look amazingly like....well....a mountain .
