Hi
Stumbled across this odd SB spiral galaxy when browsing through Star Atlas pro for something to image tonight.
6x10 mins ISO 200, uv/ir filter, MPCC, modded 350D on 10 inch F5.6 scope, hand guided. Processed in Iris and Photoshop. Paintshop Pro used to resize image for display here. Also used Gradient Xterminator in Photoshop to get rid of a slight gradient as it was lowish and in light pollution.
This object is very deep south, at -66 declination. NGC 1313a is visible to its left.
My scope actually tracks better the deeper south things are, as guide errors are less noticable, it was quite easy keeping the guidestar still in the reticle.

nice night for it too, might try for a few images myself. but I need some sleep. I will try to get up at 3 and have a go, maybe for some leonids and orion. that is a great shot scott, have to point it out one night to me.
Thanks all.
NGC 1313 is mag 9, the small NGC 1313a is mag 13.8
Heres a map of its location in Star Atlas pro, with the image field of the 10 inch and 350D shown.
