This is a compound microscope with a 10X objective and 4, 10, 40 and 100 objectives, providing
magnification up to 1000X. The 40 and 100 objectives are oil immersion lenses. It has a mechanical stage, Abbe condenser, iris diaphragm, coarse and fine focusing knobs and 4.5 volt LED illumination. The whole thing is built from metal and is beautifully sturdy.
It has always been kept under it's shrowd and is in immaculate condition. I am selling it with the original instruction booklet, the shroud, some slides and cover glass slips and 5 pre-prepared slides.
I bought this brand new about 5 years ago and it has been a dream to use, on nights with clouds I've enjoyed exploring the beauty of the microcosmos! I've seen absolutely amazing things through this scope, from the tardigrades and rotifers in pond water to the cracks in ancient coins, and gotten face-to-face with insects inspecting all of the details of their scales and eyes. Microscopy is an extremely rewarding hobby, and MUCH less demanding than astronomy
This scope brand new went for $900, but I am willing to let it go for just
