Central Coast Morning Tea
I am looking at trying to re-establish the Central Coast IIS Morning Tea meetings, which were an occasional feature (pre-pandemic), and were held at Westfield Tuggerah (outdoor food court area).
Open to all interested, with a special shout out to all the old Bretti Dark Site Alumni. No obligation, your not committing to anything, just a chance to see old friends, new friends, and talk astro stuff, and life in general.
We can discuss possible days that suit attendees, and I suppose weekends might be best for those working. Around the last couple of weeks of this month (September) could be considered.
So post up here if your interested. And if your in touch with the "lost boys" who may not frequent IIS much anymore, please let them know.
Cheers
Glen

Yes, interested, depending on time and day.
Trying to avoid crowded scenes due to health issues.
And considering medical appointments.
Westfield Tuggerah is OK by me
Last week of September looks OK (at the moment),
probably favour mid-morning Tues or Thurs.
But open to negotiation.

I am going to have to postpone my participation in this Morning Tea, based on some recent health problems that prevent my attending. However, if people want to meet then please do, and go ahead without me. Sorry

I know I’m super late to the party, but if this is still a thing, Michael and I would love to join. We have been out of the loop for the past 5 years oopsies

Well, we are hopeful that it is still a thing. Allan and I discussed late last year, and have been intending to catch up but things get in the way. In my case it has been health issues.
So if any prospective attendees would like to identify themselves here, maybe were can get it organised. Cheers.

Hi Carlz, long time as you said,
Hi Glen, hope you are doing well,
Yes, I am interested in meeting up with astro buddies in a nice warm environment,
dependent on time and place,
and not clashing with medical appointments.
Fridays and Mondays look good for me for the next few weeks.
(but going away on 26th for the week)
July seems clear but that may change after tests.

Show of Hands Please
Anyone able to make a meet up this coming Monday 12 June at say Westfield Tuggerah around 10:30 for discussion of future direction (if any) of Central Coast group observing sessions, at Pony Club and Bretti or other TBD.
Note: It is a Public Holiday, so more should be able to come I thought.
Short notice but new moon is the following week.
This will only go ahead if sufficient interest is indicated.

Allan, I will be there! As it is winter, the outdoor eatery is maybe not the best spot. Care to suggest location onsite? Looking forward to catching up.

Very sorry that I missed this catchup. Would have loved to have been there but have been busy too. Maybe the next one for sure.
